Which 2011 event defined America?

In America's blog is about our nation's identity and culture.  Our goal is to be relevant and honest about the world we live in, even when it's difficult, and to answer questions about who we are.  In reporting the events of 2012 we ask what is essential to being American and what is non-negotiable.

Now we invite you to take this poll and select which single event in 2011 defined America the most…

The inability of our government to reach some semblance of agreement, or just compromise on some portion of the debt ceiling crisis to avoid the debt rating. Both sides are to blame, because both sides' majorities rejected the final attempt. This will define and haunt American for many years to come.

Fact: Obama has spent in 1.5 years more than all the rest of the presidents combined.
Fact: Obama has appointed more "Czars" than any other president
Fact: Obama has signed into law the ability of the government to lock up any suspected terrorist (including US Citizens) indefinitely by presidential degree
Fact: Obama is the most radical president this country has ever had and beats out Jimmy Carter as the worst ever.

Read the book "The Forgotten Man" to truly understand the years leading up to and thru the Great Depression ending with the US entering WWII. Roosevelt and the New Dealers were Marxists, Communists and Socialists hiding under the name of Progressives and actually lengthen the Great Depression; not shortened it
