(CNN) - A Jewish high school basketball team that had opted out of a shot at a Texas state championship because it refused to play on the Sabbath will now get that shot, after a playoff game was rescheduled on Thursday.
The game, initially set for Friday night, after the Jewish Sabbath begins, has been rescheduled for Friday afternoon, Houston’s Robert M. Beren Academy announced Thursday.
The Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) made the scheduling change after parents threatened a lawsuit, the Orthodox Jewish private school said in a statement.

Any practising Catholic knows that you have to be in a state of grace when receiving communion. While this was a very sorrowful time in this women's life she should have discussed the services with the priest including confession and find out whether she was able to receive communion. I don't feel the priest did anything wrong. He, as a Priest is doing his job in following the Catholic beliefs and teachings of the Catholic Church. I don't think there should be any apology. In my opinion, this woman should be asking for forgiveness and prayer. When a person goes to register at a University, Fitness Club, or whatever there are rules and regulations you must follow. Why does everyone make a big fuss when one is denied something in the Catholic Church when all it is doiing is following the rules, the teachings and being obedient to the word of God.
I have a better idea ! Why she didn't bribe that clown, it's doable ! We in Mexico do it all the time! Money talks baby.
