Racial tension again tests Texas town
14 years ago, Jasper, Texas made headlines when James Byrd, Jr., a black man, was chained to a pick-up truck and dragged to death by three white men.
Today, the town says it is again divided, after Rodney Pearson, the first black police chief, was fired.

There are also having discrimination law suits filed against them from most, if not all, of the men that were applying for the position. Mind you, all were not white. These filing suit all met and well exceeded the criteria. Yet the selected Chief? Well, uh, bottom of the list. When the chief stepped in he demoted or fired current officers and replaced them with less qualified. Now those officers are filing suit. All of this because of this council and chief. Now their all saying racism? So again, where is CNN's reporting of this?
There is an awful lot you'er leaving out of this article. Surprised? No. The one snip in the video it was mentioned what position that current sheriff ended up. This was meant in all of the tests taken. Yes, he was right down there at the bottom. That city council? They let go all of the top scorers and kept one other man, white, that I believe was local. The two they keep were both low scorers. They took one other vote, I believe, and kept the current Sheriff. Sound odd? To have numerous man have outstanding scores yet release them and keep two low scores? Really? Why didn't CNN, themselves, mention this? There's plenty of other things not mentioned here.
