Boy Scouts leadership affirms policy of excluding 'open or avowed' gays

(CNN) - The Boy Scouts of America announced Tuesday it has affirmed its policy of "not granting membership to open or avowed homosexuals."
The organization's leaders reached that decision after a nearly two-year evaluation and will take no further action on a resolution that has sought a change in policy, it said in a news release. It had said last month that it would consider a resolution asking that local units be allowed to determine their own standards.
BSA's chief scout executive and national president had convoked a committee of volunteers and professional leaders to evaluate the policy.

"The committee's work and conclusion is that this policy reflects the beliefs and perspectives of the BSA's members, thereby allowing Scouting to remain focused on its mission and the work it is doing to serve more youth," the statement said.

The BSA can't support this kind of behavior because they can't afford another scandal like the one of the Catholic Church abuses. It i widely known that abusive gay priests used the BSA as recruiting stations all over US soil.
Although I support the G,L,B,TS's basic rights to participate, I also believe groups, in general, should have the ability to determine which behaviors, beliefs, etc. will be allowed among their membership, especially those who are minors. The Boy Scouts have an excellent track record of managing their program. I salute them for standing up for their traditional beliefs.
Just use the word gay instead of lbgt. A lesbian is a gay woman, a bi is a gay man or woman who is afraid to admit tbey are gay and a tranny is a neutered gay freakshow. There is no such thing as bi or transgender, only gay or straight.
It is fine for a private to have these views, however they should imeaditly loose all government support In the form of no more free camping, or reduced prices on milatary bases or national parks. Also no more meetings inpublic schools, as they are federally protected hatefree zones

Ok, to complete, they should lose funding, because the taxpayers should not be forced to pay for a bigoted hate filled group.
Yes the government should do that and give all that money to the LGBT community so they can adopt children who twenty years from now will claim abuse by these kind of people .Nice way to go America.
No evidence between being gay and child abuse, but nice to see you using your 1st amendment to state your openion. It is my opinion that no special interest groups should get government aid, they should raise it themselves or go without.
