White women on black magazine covers?

(CNN) - CNN's Don Lemon and a panel discuss actress Jada Pinkett Smith's Facebook post on race, women and magazine covers that asked in part: "Will there ever be a day in which women will be able to see each other beyond race, class, and culture?"

White people get 250 magazines and complain about 1 black magazine – when it's only recently that black people even get covers on white magazines and then they're lightened as much as possible with Photoshop. Whateves. White people always get a hard on accusing black people of being the "real" racists. Because yeah....do ya'll have a meeting on stupid stuff to say about black people? Because every website, all the comment sections are full of the same racist bs.

I honestly think, that if everyone needs to just let it all go. Who cares if there is a white women's headshot on a magazine cover issue for a black womens mag? ..Every mag i see, has all types of people in them to be honest..

and another point of interest...if these minority groups are a minority group – that means there are LESS PEOPLE..so maybe it isnt that people want to see all white individuals..maybe it is because there is less "black people" in the areas that would be included in those topics..because there are less black, or asian or what have you in this country..

A white magazine would get shredded for not being diverse but a black magazine gets shredded for showing white people?? RACISM!!! Democrats hate white people and especially white males. That is why Obama is the last democrat I ever vote for.

Jada...You are right to have a progressive mind on race relations...I agree with you that we should move forward...you are up against people who have not yet evolved to this level and so you are faced with resistance and opposition to your proposal...History has only moved forward by someone looking further than their nose. Keep up the good work in all the battles fought...you are my inspiration...

That would be an incredible day when we could see covers like that. When you can pick up a magazine and just see it as a magazine. I dislike that, as a black person, magazines like Ebony and Essence still have to exist. But they exist since blacks typically still aren't 'mainstream' in society. I really wish people could see people as people.

I served my country (USA) and I have the right to say that I'm an American of Puerto Rican decendent. It's my heritage and I'm proud of it.
This country was built by many people and we should respect each others culture and heritage.
